When YOSUKE TOMINAGA a know funk DJ from japan handed KENNY DOPE copies of his limited releases – (5) 7” titles and 1 LP from his label CHAMP RECORDS, Kenny knew he wanted to press something of theirs on Kay-Dee. All of their records were pressed as a private pressing and were sold by Yosuke himself at the parties he played, most of titles are not found in the market any more. Kenny and Yosuke stayed in touch and with Root Soul who is the band leader of KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE on bass, HIDEROW NISHIOKA who is the one of the most demanded percussionist in Japan on Percussion and SATOSHI “TIGER” OKANO from MOUNTAIN MOCHA KILIMANJARO (a funk band that Japan is proud of) on drums. Kay-Dee Records presents “HAZE”, this new release was produced by YOSUKE TOMINAGA and it was recorded in Tokyo’s club called THE ROOM. Kenny received the Master, Mixed it down to ¼ inch tape and has released it for you to enjoy.
